Strength in Community Workshops Fall 2022

Are you a Manitoba female entrepreneur looking to build your business support network and get practical tools to support your personal and entrepreneurial journey?

Join us this fall for one of our two Strength in Community Workshops; separate program deliveries for Rural & Northern and Urban Female Entrepreneurs in Manitoba. During our interactive 6-week workshop, you will meet with other women entrepreneurs in a facilitated setting and participate in supportive dialogue and community-building. This is your opportunity to step away from your business, develop new peer connections, learn how to set practical goals, and challenge yourself for growth.

This 6-week program will be offered in two separate cohorts; an in-person and a virtual delivery. The in-person workshop will be held at our downtown office in Winnipeg and is open to all female entrepreneurs. The virtual workshop will be hosted over Zoom to female-led businesses operating outside Winnipeg’s Perimeter Highway.

Introducing Sarah Holtmann (SCW Producer)

Sarah Holtmann has been surrounded by business her entire life. She grew up on her family’s dairy farm, a multi-generational business in rural Manitoba. Her love for entrepreneurship began on the farm as she was involved in its daily operations, management, and strategic planning. Completing her Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree majoring in Entrepreneurship / Small Business and Marketing was a natural progression for Sarah. As a WECM Business Advisor Sarah brings her rural roots, her enthusiasm for local entrepreneurs, experience in social media marketing, and her love of family business to the Team.

Introducing Geraldine De Braun (SCW Facilitator)

Geraldine De Braune made the life-changing decision to become a coach as a direct result of the personal work she’d undertaken with coaches who facilitated her exploration of the questions and challenges of finding a deeper and more gratifying sense of purpose in her professional work, as well as in her life. An integrative coach since 2017, Geraldine’s clients are women from all aspects of work and life who crave to be more of who they already are. Geraldine is a collector of questions, a cultivator of curiosity, a fervent believer in possibility, and an ally of choice. Through her coaching practice, GDB Coaching, she offers one-on-one services, specialized small-group facilitation, and curated programs.

Croneology – The Science and Study of Wise Women, a collaboration with Janet Bertolus, is one of her curated offerings, created for women over 50. Croneology is a round-table style, deep dive into all those out-of-bounds, age-appropriate, and cringe-worthy topics from the practical to the mystical that we’re not supposed to discuss in polite company.

Geraldine is launching a new one-on-one guided coaching program for women over 50, who are entering their Third Act. The 3-month program takes women on a deeper, more personal journey to rediscover who they are now at this time of life, and to find greater purpose and sovereignty as they move through the many unique transitions of mid-life and beyond.

Her 25+ years of experience in the private and non-profit sectors as a business owner, a leader and proactive team member in several high-profile organizations, (CBC Radio, The Women’s Television Network, The Forks Renewal Corporation) helps her empower individuals to embrace possibility. In addition to her own practice, she’s been an associate coach with Steph Jagger (Bainbridge, WA) and Padraig (Winnipeg). She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Winnipeg; a Diploma in Broadcast Journalism from Mount Royal College, Calgary; and a Certificate in Executive Coaching from Royal Roads University, Victoria.

Geraldine is married, a bonus-mom to three daughters, has two cats, and lives in Winnipeg.
