The Women’s Enterprise Centre of Manitoba invites businesswomen across Manitoba to join an engaging panel discussion on Social Media

Marketing!

During this 1-hour panel, we will hear from three Manitoban female entrepreneurs from different industries who will share their thoughts and experiences of using social media to successfully market their businesses. This is an opportunity to hear from three very different perspectives!

Marie Antaya from Eclectic Communications, Cori Poon from sweet C bakery, and Colleen Olafson a Family Life Celebrant and entrepreneur will discuss what marketing techniques have worked for their businesses and lessons learned while overcoming social media challenges.

Our Panelists

Cori Poon

What started as a small hobby selling goodies at local craft sales and random baking orders for birthdays, has turned into a passion and successful business for once stay-at-home mom Cori Poon. Her business sweet C bakery is known for unique creations including their signature Candy Sushi, chocolate covered Oreos and Edible Cookie Dough.

Marie Antaya

Marie is an international speaker, author of four books, and educator in a variety of subjects including business communication. As owner of Eclectic Communications and Cultivate Learning, Marie has shared her expertise with clients in private, non-profit and public sector organizations leading numerous program and course development projects. Using their combined experiences, Marie and her team design and deliver informative, practical workshops tailored to the audience’s needs.

Colleen Olafson

In July 1993, Colleen Olafson was appointed to be a Province of Manitoba Marriage Commissioner and since that time she has officiated more than 1,800 weddings. It wasn’t until 2013, when she was asked to officiate three funerals that she realized that becoming a Certified Funeral Celebrant would be a perfect fit to add to her repertoire. Since then, Colleen has participated in the In-Sight Institute Funeral Celebrant training and added Baby Welcoming services completing her title as a Family Life Celebrant.
