Situated in Treaty 5 territory and sitting on the correction line between the Manitoba and Saskatchewan border, Flin Flon is a unique Northern urban entrepreneurial communityThe area boasts a wide array of amenities, such as The Flin Flon Tourist Park and Campground, Bakers Narrows Provincial Park, a number of fine restaurants and nightspots, scenic trails, boardwalk, golf course, lakes and so much more. If you’ve never taken a trip North to thcity built on rock (Flin Flon was literally built on an old volcanic belt) then pack your bags and add these additional stops to your #exploreMB travels.

Stop #1 | Bakers Narrows Lodge 

There’s no better way to experience the Flin Flon “water and the wild” than by getting out and enjoying nature in Northern Manitoba! Bakers Narrows Lodge co-owned by Peg Baynton is situated right on Lake Athapapuskow and only ½ mile from the Flin Flon airport. This local place is perfect for fishing, family vacations, weddings, reunions, or corporate retreats and offers unique vacation packages to cater to everyone’s preferences.  

 

 

 

Stop #2 | The Orange Toad 

Start your morning off right at a Flin Flon café where coffee and friends are plentiful! The Orange Toad owned by Meghan Lukowich is the best place in town for fresh baking, specialty coffees and drinks!

Stop #4 | Alluring Impressions Day Spa

If you are looking for Flin Flon souvenirs then look no further!  Ped’s Threads Inc., named after owner Cydni Pedwell, is a logo and apparel shop that offers custom decorated apparel, Flin Flon hoodies and mugs. For the kiddos, they make personalized stuffed teddies too! 

 

 

 

 

Visit Flin Flon 

Over 70 years in the making, the town of Flin Flon continues to be a community with character. In fact, the city was named after a fictional character Josiah Flintabaty Flonatin in the book The Sunless City and a statue of “Flinty” guards the entrance to the city.
