Exporting: Is it In Your Plans?

You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.” Wayne Gretzky.

What separates the shots that score from the many that miss?

Wade Miller, President and CEO of my beloved Winnipeg Blue Bombers, shared his tenets for success last week as the luncheon speaker for 2014 Small Business Week Launch.

He highlighted:
•Believe in yourself. And don’t listen to the bozos.
•Never stop learning and innovating.
•Be a ferocious leader.
•Surround yourself with subject matter experts.
•And my number one favourite statement: Get involved. “Texting and tweeting is not actually connecting with people,” said Miller.

I am very interested in connecting with women business owners who want to take a shot at exporting their products and services. There are some fabulous opportunities available for women business owners whose businesses are poised for growth and export.

As an assessor for WEConnect International and WBE Canada, I want to help connect you with these opportunities.

“It takes time to build something great.” Wade Miller.

Exporting does not happen overnight. You must have Wade Miller’s three tenets of success:

  1. Perseverance
    2. Passion
    3. Patience

If you have the passion and patience, we can assist you with perseverance. As business advisors, we help women business owners achieve their business goals.

Planning + Practice = Preparedness

We will help you focus on planning and practice so that you will be prepared to capitalize on larger opportunities.

A note of caution: you may not always like what we have to say because we do more than pat you on the back and tell you how wonderful you are. As subject matter experts in business planning, we will challenge you to tackle the problems that will impede your opportunity for business growth and profitability.

But as Wade Miller said, “It takes a strong leader to let people challenge you.”
