Dr. Lew Bayer, Civility Experts Worldwide
Lew Bayer is an internationally recognized civility expert. Leading a team of 226 affiliates in 39 countries, they have helped hundreds of organizations build better workplaces. A 13-time published author, Lew was recently recognized at World Civility Day with a Community Civility Counts Award. She has been nominated for a Women of Distinction award and the RBC Canadian Woman Entrepreneur of the Year. She in the recipient of the  Manitoba Woman Entrepreneur of the Year in International Business and she was the first Canadian to receive the prestigious AICI International Civility Star Award.


Jodi Carradice, The Wawanesa Mutual Insurance Company
Jodi oversees the Human Resources, Communications and Community Affairs functions and is responsible for developing and implementing key HR and Communications strategies and programs that contribute to the achievement of the company’s strategic goals and business objectives. 





Maralee Caruso, CTV News Winnipeg
Maralee loves the everyday adventure of being a journalist and the excitement of live reporting. A graduate of the Television Broadcasting Program at Confederation College, she began reporting in her hometown of Thunder Bay when she was just 19 year old. It was there that she also gained experience in videography, editing, producing and anchoring. At the time, she was the youngest anchor of the six o’clock news. In 2001, Maralee left her job at TBT to begin her career at CTV Winnipeg. She began as a reporter and quickly became an anchor.




Adriana De Luca, Tiber River Naturals Inc.
Adriana founded Tiber River in 1999 when she decided to make and sell soap as a way to stay home with her young daughter. The CEO and Chief Cultural Officer of Tiber River Naturals Inc, Adriana’s vision, values and passion for culture have built the business into one of Profit 500’s Fastest Growing Companies in Canada. Creating Happiness Naturally is the purpose behind everything that they do at Tiber River Naturals.




Janet Drysdale, CN
Janet joined CN in 1996, initially working as a project officer in a management development program before moving to positions of increasing responsibility in Sales and Marketing, Investor Relations and Financial Planning, including Market Manager Petroleum and Chemicals, Senior Manager Revenue Planning, Senior Manager Investor Relations, and Director Economics and Strategic Planning.

She was appointed Vice-President Corporate Development and Sustainability in 2017. From 2016 to 2017, she was Vice-President, Corporate Development and between 2012 and 2016, she was Vice-President, Investor Relations. She is responsible for leading CN’s strategic initiatives in the areas of business development, acquisitions, alliances, co-production, and network restructuring. She holds an Honours Bachelor of Science degree from Queen’s University and an MBA from McGill University.


Jessica Dumas, Jessica Dumas Coaching & Training
Jessica is an Indigenous professional lifestyle coach, speaker and facilitator with experience in executive coaching, group facilitation and training, conflict resolution and mediation, social media marketing, customer service training, program development and management, professional speaking and community leadership. She quickly gains the trust of her audience, with her warm and engaging personality and professional style. Jessica was recognized for as a finalist in the CBC’s ‘Top 40 Manitobans under 40’ for 2015 and the ‘2017 Future Leaders of Manitoba’.




Kate Fenske, CN
Kate manages media relations in Western Canada and is responsible for municipal and provincial government relations in Manitoba. She also manages sponsorships, stakeholder engagement and community partnerships in the prairie region.

Prior to joining CN, Kate worked as a reporter, editor and producer at local and national media outlets in Manitoba and Toronto. She was also a strategic communications advisor and manager for charities, government and private/public agencies.




Cate Friesen, The Story Source

Cate offers customized workshops, interactive presentations, strategic assessments and personal coaching for leaders, entrepreneurs, non-profits, and businesses. Your story matters.


Wendy Guilbault, National Leasing
A results-oriented professional with 18 years of human resource management experience, Wendy has worked in various industries including finance, publishing, manufacturing and packaging. Her areas of expertise include employee relations, compensation, performance management, career development, recruitment, safety and health. Wendy serves on the Board of Directors of the Children’s Museum, and is a member of CPHR Manitoba.



Sharon Harrald, Investors Group & Mackenzie Investments
A gifted coach and speaker, Sharon brings more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry to her role as the Vice President of Human Resources Consulting and Talent Acquisition Strategy at Investors Group and Mackenzie Investments. Her strong belief and commitment to the power of employee engagement is evident in all her work.





MaryAnn Kempe, Birchwood Automotive Group
As an Executive Coach, MaryAnn inspires, motivates and ignites others to discover and develop their full potential. She is recognized as a collaborative leader with highly developed interpersonal and communication skills. Her passion for continuous learning is demonstrated with her degrees in psychology (University of Manitoba), business, adult education, and an MBA (Royal Roads University). She is a certified mediator, certified executive coach and is a Fellow Certified Human Resource Professional. She was a nominee for the YMCA Women of Distinction award and a recipient of the HR Visionary Leader, awarded by her peers and profession.


Michelle Lalonde, Tiber River Naturals Inc.
Michelle partnered with Adriana De Luca in 2005 to re-launch Tiber River Naturals Inc. As the President and Chief Happiness Officer, Michelle’s passion for people is focused on expanding the business to over 1000 sales consultants across Canada. Michelle’s biggest accomplishment is raising three children while building a company with values and a purpose of which she can be proud.





Suenita Maharaj-Sandhu, Author
For more than 20 years, Suenita has supported management teams at all three levels of government, law enforcement agencies, schools and banks to shift to more inclusive, mindful workplaces. She has worked with individual employees on issues ranging from workplace conflict to achieving career goals. Through this work, Suenita noted that individuals implementing principals of mindfulness to achieve their goals were consistently more successful.

From this insight, Suenita wrote her best-selling book Rousing the Sleeping Giant. An entertaining and powerful story that takes readers on an unexpected journey of self-discovery, the book pairs neuroscience with principles of mindfulness to create a blueprint for daily living.



Julie Michaud, portia-ella
Julie is an innovative leader in the Canadian beauty industry. She founded portia-ella so she could focus more closely on her passion, the health, beauty, and empowerment of women.  Julie is empowering and educating thousands of women through portia-ella, while raising two children under three years of age.





Vicki Olatundun, Steinbach Family Resource Centre
Vicki is a persuasive, high-octane, powerful, passionate motivational speaker and author. A former attorney turned social justice advocate, she is known for her visionary abilities as a non-profit strategist and leader while making a sustainable difference to Canadians over the last 15 years.  She is a bold, courageous ‘passionholic’, willing to challenge the status quo to make things better for others. Creative, determined and driven are just a few words that describe her innovative ability to change the world around her.





Sherry Benson Podolchuk, Star Agassi Consulting
Sherry is author of Women Not Wanted, a chronicle of her 20 years as a Royal Canadian Mounted Police Officer and how she dealt with workplace bullying, sexual harassment and violence. Since retiring, she has testified and provided written recommendations to three Senate Committee Hearings on sexual harassment, bullying in the RCMP and Federal Government. She is frequently called upon as a subject matter expert by media and government agencies.

Diagnosed with PTSD as a result of her service in the RCMP, Sherry continues to encourage and motivate others to get out of their comfort zone, talk about the link between workplace conflicts, leadership and mental health; believe in the power of their own voices at home and in the workplace. In her talks and seminars she provides people with the tools to overcome workplace stress and conflict.


Norva Riddell, True North Sports + Entertainment
Norva joined True North Sports + Entertainment as Vice President, Sales in 2004. She received the AHL Ken McKenzie Award in 2008 in recognition of her work in helping to build a successful AHL franchise and as the individual who accomplished the most during the season in promoting the team.  Norva was the first woman to receive this award. As  a senior executive, she provides leadership in the areas of sales, corporate partnerships, marketing and premium services to True North Sports + Entertainment and the Winnipeg Jets Hockey Club. In her role with the Winnipeg Jets, Norva remains one of the few women in a senior executive role in professional sports.





Jaysa Toet, Acuity HR Solutions
Jaysa is a talented HR professional who helps small- and medium-sized organizations grow and achieve their objectives. Prior to providing strategic HR direction for her clients, she established the recruitment division at Acuity HR Solutions, a consulting firm that strengthens organizations and elevates workplace cultures.



Jennifer Tory, RBC
Jennifer is RBC’s Chief Administrative Officer with responsibility for Brand, Citizenship, Communications, Procurement and Real Estate functions globally. Reporting to the CEO, she also provides leadership and oversight of transformational initiatives, with a particular focus on how the enterprise works together to further RBC’s success. Along with other members of Group Executive, Ms. Tory is responsible for setting the overall strategic direction of RBC.

A recipient of the 2011 Catalyst Canada Honour for championing women in business, Jennifer has been recognized by Women’s Executive Network as one of Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women in 2010, 2015, 2016 and 2017. She has been acknowledged for her leadership in diversity, including a Harry Jerome Award in 2013 and the Leading Executive Ally Award by Start Proud in 2016.




Kerri Twigg, Career Stories
Kerri has been leading workshops and coaching programs since 1997 with a specialty in helping people find, craft and communicate their stories with confidence. She has facilitated workshops at schools, theatres, boardrooms and even a boathouse. In 2012, Kerri specialized in Human Resources with an emphasis in Career Development. She has been a trusted behind the scenes advisor to hundreds of professionals and institutions across the world. Kerri manages her own career consulting company, Career Stories Consulting. She holds a B.A in Theatre, an M.Ed, and an HR Certificate. She is a Certified Resume and Career Strategist.





Jill Winograd, EQ3

Jill is the Vice President of Merchandising and Wholesale with Winnipeg-based furniture manufacturer and retailer EQ3. She has worked with the company since 2004 in various marketing, merchandising and sales roles. Jill has her Master’s of Business Administration from Queen’s University and Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Manitoba. She is an alumnus of the 2017 Governor General’s Canadian Leadership Conference and is currently a board member of the Health Sciences Centre Foundation.
