Lynda has been an entrepreneur for almost 30 years. A passion for the north turned into a thriving family business that includes her husband, son and daughter-in-law as well as 13 full-time staff in Winnipeg, 3 part-time staff and 50+ seasonal staff during polar bear season in Churchill. Frontiers North Adventures specializes in wildlife viewing and nature programs in Canada’s north. Started in 1987 as a home-based business, Lynda managed all aspects of the company. With the addition of staff, she continued to spearhead international marketing participating in shows in the UK, Germany, U.S. and Australia, as well as develop relationships with the media. Her son recently took over as President and CEO, allowing Lynda to concentrate her time on Industry Relations. An active volunteer, Lynda participates on the Board of the Canadian Association of Family Enterprises; is a past member of the Minister of Tourism’s Advisory Council, Travel Manitoba Adventure Product Advisory Committee and Destination Winnipeg. She is a member of the Churchill Chamber of Commerce and Member of the Tourism Industry Association of Canada where she and her husband were recently presented with a Life Time Achievement Award. Lynda was nominated for a Woman of Distinction Award in 2008.
